Policy and Legislation
Policy and Legislation Committee monitors, analyzes, and drafts UCGIS responses to legislation and policies of interest to the GIScience Community. The committee’s primary focus is on federal activities, but it is open to local, state, and international issues. A major activity of the Policy and Legislation Committee is organizing the program for the UCGIS Winter meting in order to communicate with Congress and federal agencies.
